The Universe

Gold antlered reindeer
Black head eyes burning fiercely
White body shrouded
Silver, the cosmos rested
Within your majestic form

Bow drawn he hunts you
Rainbow in his hand
Nature’s marvels ignored
Diermmes first arrow so deep
That deserts formed, rain stolen

Flying through the fiords
The second shaft boils mountains
Melts the northern ice
Slumping slowly to your knees
Life ebbed from your wounds

Diermmes approaches
Your prostrate form so quite now
Knife drawn he stabs you
The sun and Moon extinguished
We have fired the first arrow
