Out of the Desert

Will your embrace

Salt flats of feeling

Remove the Bindi

Ensnared in the fabric

Of my soul

Will the concave forms

Of you

Smooth and brown

Slide over

This weathered

Eroded so by neglect

Will that deep viscous

Rock pool

Draw me in bathe me

The desert abrasions from

My mouth

Such contrasts, all this parched earth, all this undrinkable water..
